Delegates are the real jury of this festival; it
differentiates IFFK from other international Film festivals, opined Dr.Shashi
Tharoor, Union minister of State for Human Resource Development, while inaugurating
the delegate cell of 18th
International Film Festival of Kerala.
Tharoor handed over the first delegate pass to Actor Anoop
Menon at the function presided by Gandhimathi Balan, Chalachitra Academy Vice
Chairman. First Delegate kit was received by Actress Menaka Suresh from P.C
Vishnunath MLA.
P.S Sreekumar, Chairman Delegate Cell made the welcome
address and S Rajendran Nair, Secretary Chalachitra Academy expressed vote of
thanks. Bina Paul, Festival Artistic Director, Renji Thomas, SBT public relation
chief manager also attended the function.
The Delegate Cell will function at
the Tagore Theatre Premises from 8 am to
8pm till December 8th from today onwards. Delegates can collect the Festival kit - a
Jute bag with IFFK insignia, a detailed handbook and a festival T-Shirt.
